Product Description

1 oz 1933 Saint Gaudens Silver Round

The Saint Gaudens design is considered one of the most popular coinage designs ever and is now available in silver rounds. The original Saint Gaudens $20 Double Eagle was minted by the US Mint from 1907 – 1933, and was designed by Augustus Saint Gaudens. Then US President Theodore Roosevelt, commissioned Saint Gaudens to design a coin to replace the Liberty Head which he considered unattractive. Ironically it was another Roosevelt (Franklin D.) who in 1933 decided to confiscate gold thus ending the reign of the gold $20 Saint Gaudens coin.

The 1 oz 1933 Saint Gaudens Silver Round boast one full ounce of .999 fine silver and is Precious Metals IRA approved.

Obverse: Lady Liberty is featured holding a torch in her right hand and an olive branch in her left with sun rays in the background. The word Liberty and 1933 are also included on the obverse in the same fashion as the original Saint Gaudens.

Reverse: The Highland Mint (HM) stamp is present as well as .999 and one troy ounce silver. The word “copy” is also present.
